Re: Best ever episode...

We have to pick just one???  Thats not fair!! Um from series 3 I think it has to be the introduction of Adam, episode 1? Where Ruth tries to visit Harry in hospital.

Series 4: Adam recruits Jo.( not sure which ep) also the one where Angela Wells turns up (4.10?)

series 5: 5.1 (Ros' introduction) 5.3

series 7: 7.1 Lucas comes home. 7.7 Harry gets arrested and Ros works out whats happened. 7.8 all of it.

series 8: 8.1 Ruth's return. 8.4 the whole episode and 8.8 -  all of it

trying to pick one os like trying to pick your favourite child! It cant be done big_smile

series 9 please! pretty please!!
Bonkers and not quite so brilliant!
Thanks Isa!! Diolch yn fawr!!! big_smile big_smile D:

Re: Best ever episode...

Are you insane?  One episode!

Uuummm... sod that, I'll have to put more than one.

5.7 - Ros, Mossad officers posing as Al Qaeda, and a hotel siege.  What's not to love?
5.9 - Ros babysitting Nico and not enjoying it.

7.1 - Ros return!
7.3 (and this is probably my fave, fave) - Ros takes control of the Grid!  Yay!
7.5 - Ros (I am so predictable)
7.6 - the Sands/Ros conversation in the car park is hard to top.
7.7 and 7.8 - just brilliant

8.03 - I loved it despite the bad points
8.05 - Ros with her mentor
8.06 - Ros and Baisely - I couldn't bloody breathe for most of this
8.08 (and this is in line with 7.03 for me) - is absolutely breath-taking.  Actually, I might say this one overall...

Re: Best ever episode...

Why was Ros in charge of the Grid in 7.3? I thought that was the bank job where she was under cover? Going to have to go and look now!! Agree with 8.6 and 8.8!

Re: Best ever episode...

So the 'Ros series' then eh?

That obvious, huh?  tongue

I forgot one:  6.03 - Ros and water torture!  Poor Ros.  sad  But the needle didn't move!  Totally AWESOME!

It was great watching that (not) with my mother who kept interjecting with "she would be so dehydrated, the slightest lie would make the needle move.  I don't care if she is a cold-hearted bitch, it's just not realistic."

Very irritating!

I kept pointing out that this was ROS, so of course the needle wouldn't move, but that didn't work.  sad

Re: Best ever episode...

lol

5.03 - cute Zaf/Ros interaction
5.05 - just for that whole prison scene...and Zaf
5.06/07 - The 'twist' was fab.
5.08 - Ros covered in blood and exhausted from donating blood, yet can still pull a gun at the slightest noise. Also, forced two doctors to do an op on a kitchen table.
6.03 - Yalta initiation (she cares for Zaf!)
6.08 - Phenomenal
THE WHOLE OF SERIES 7
8.04 - Just for the opening.
8.05 - The interaction between her and her mentor.
8.06 - *that* scene and the Baisley scene towards the end.
The first 50 mins of 8.08 - Ros shot Sarah!

Re: Best ever episode...

The first 50 mins of 8.08 - Ros shot Sarah!

Come on, you know the last ten minutes are equally fabulous.  Just stay firmly in the denial bubble and you'll enjoy it all.  lol.

But the shooting; how brilliant.  "Don't be such a cry baby; it's just a graze with a 2.2."  And Sarah's "Oh, didn't you see?  Some psycho who hasn't got laid in the last five years shot me in the leg."

*evil cackle*

8.04 - Just for the opening.

I forgot about that!  Totally agree (surprise, surprise).  Worth the favourite tag for the first 45 seconds.  And then the scene in the squat with the junkie.

is that a vote against?

I thought it was nicely claustrophobic, and David and Keeley were both impressive.  Probably both had better moments in isolation, but together?

As a counterbalance to the 'running and bombs' of recent eps it holds up pretty well. It also has elements of the classic journey, cf From Russia with love and the orient express...
Not recommending Bond, but that is one of the best.

It's a vote for. I agree with you completely. Having taken the overnight NS ferry to Bergen on several occasions I really should have remembered it.

Correct, Griddle_Pop. Alternative title 'Germ Warfare'

On several occasions? I never realised Bergen was that interesting!

Re: Best ever episode...

Out of S8 in order of what I liked them in.

8.1
8.8
8.7 (NO SARAH WOO HOO!!!)
8.4
8.3
8.2
8.5 Great Ros ep
8.6

The order reflects plot not individual character story because there was a lot of great Ros moments throughout. Still mad with less Ruth character episodes.

I do agree with a lot of the eps. already picked by others

'And loving it'

Come on s9!!!!
